Per "Doc" Cheng's recommendation at the 2009 CK-FMS, I purchased John's Qigong Recharge DVD & Manual.
As I read the manual on my flight home, I couldn't wait to get home & practice the movements.
I haven't felt this relaxed & recharged in a long time!
For those in a high-tension work environment or with just high stress levels in general, I highly recommend these products. You will feel rejuvenated! This will be a staple in my routine and help complement my training.

I just watched John DuCane's qigong recharge last night, and had my first practice with it this morning. I think this is an excellent dvd. The joint mobility drills are excellent, much like what you would find in SuperJoints, but with a qigong pace. The actual qigong drills are easy to do, and a lot of fun. Qigong is still new to me but I really enjoyed this set of drills, especially the "tapping" exercises. I am planning on using this set every morning, and the Bliss and Serenity qigong exercises in the evening. Qigong Recharge is an excellent addition to anyone's exercise routine, I highly recommend it. Thanks again DragonDoor, for another excellent product.
I really enjoy this DVD. As a hard style kettlebell trainer I'm finding these movements especially useful. They really help to "balance" my practice. For the older lifter like me this practice is a great and I think necessary addition to one's daily routine. They help to counter the little aches and pains from a lifetime of hard training. As one gets older, joint and organ health is increassingly important. This DVD is just the ticket. It's fun and energizing. And It's good for you! Just do it.
This DVD is excellent! I presonally use the drills that John demonstrates as a great form of active recovery from KB workouts. As a personal trainer starting my day as early as 5am, I have also found that doing the exercises in Qigong Recharge my clients feel more focused and energized before starting our KB routines. A quality product for sure!
My goal: To learn QiGong although I am a complete beginner
John Du Cane gives very clear instruction and is easy to follow. The camera shows the movements very well. The movements are effective and do result in more relaxation and improved energy.
Du Cane explanes how each movement improves health, which is inspiring and a bonus. My goal is met with this DVD.
I have 2 suggestions to improve this DVD. I would have liked some musical background that would help with relaxation. I also would like a DVD that shows exercises with instruction--and then gives a follow-along section that can be used for daily practice. I think I will find the instruction distracting once I have learned the movements.
The demonstrations are easy to follow. DuCane turns his body at different angles to the camera so you can see just what he's doing. That man has strong and flexible legs -- but he says you don't have to go as low as he does to get the benefits. Boy did my legs feel the work -- it looks so easy and it's not that hard doing it, but the next day.... On one exercise he says it's important to do both sides but he only demonstrates doing it on one side. You have to do the other side without his modeling while he talks about the benefits. All in all, this video is going into my stack to be repeated. I like it.
I am very pleased with the Qigong Recharge DVD. It energizes and relaxes as promised.
John's Qigong Recharge is a great DVD for beginners. I liked John's morning recharge at the Sept. 2006 RKC so much that I had to buy the DVD so I wouldn't forget any of the movements. The wall squat in particular is unbelievable for warming up your whole body for hours. We need that here in Minnesota. The rest of the movements are easy to learn with John's detailed instruction. I'd recommend this to anyone who needs to get their body moving again. The elderly in particular would enjoy the non-impact elements of qigong. Very healing and stimulating.
I enjoyed John's work. I feel rejuvenated and recharged. The only thing that I can have problems with at times is the language. For instance, the stomach energiser. It is unclear so my guess is to buy the DVD. Apart from the language, it's perfect. I religiously practice them. Thank-you John.
This technique is awesome; I have never felt so great in such a short period of time by applying just one set of joint exercise from this magnificent manual. In a matter of two weeks an annoying sharp pain on my spine has disappeared almost entirely. Thank you very much for providing support and a complete variety of techniques for pain sufferers. I will certainly share this type of exercises with my friends and family.
